EULISP graduation ceremony

On the 4th November 2011 the graduation ceremony for the 16th class of the postgraduate degree in IT and Intellectual Property took place. Since the beginning of the study programme a tradition has been established that the certificates are awarded to the graduates in Leibniz House in Hannover.

At 6.30 pm the Graduation ceremony was started by the Dean of Study Affairs and Head of the study programme Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Forgo. Then Prof. em. Dr. Wolfgang Kilian (Founder of the Programme), Robert Queck (Partner University Namur, Belgium) and Eva Egermann LL.M. (EULISP alumni e.V.) congratulated the graduates on their success at graduating from the programme. Afterwards Mr. Iheanyi Nwankwo, LL.M. (graduate from the 16th class) gave a report on experiences he had whilst studying on the programme.

This was followed with the presentation of the certificates and diplomas to the 17 graduates who have attend the ceremony. Maria Urania Dovas was especially congratulated on receiving the highest award possible that of summa cum laude. In addition, 5 graduates were awarded with the ´´Double Degree´` which is in its sixth year and runs in cooperation with the University of Oslo. After the award ceremony the graduates, former students and guests could discuss and exchange their experiences over a glass of wine and a buffet.

With the graduation of this 16th class more than 250 students have successfully completed the EULISP- programme. In the currently running 17th class, 21 students from Germany and other countries, will soon have completed their semester in Hannover and then will begin their semester abroad at one of the European partner universities.

The next EULISP Graduation ceremony will take place on the 9.11.2011 in Leibniz House in Hannover.
